At Minnette Jackson Interiors, we have a passion for crafting interior spaces that are sophisticated, fresh, and uniquely tailored to the individuality of our clients.
Minnette Jackson Interiors is a boutique interior design studio offering a complete range of services covering all aspects of the design process, from construction and renovation needs to interior furnishings and finishes. From selecting the perfect color palette and curating a range of old and new furnishings, to working hand-in-hand with artisans and craftsman to realize our clients’ vision, we guide every step of the design process.
We believe that good design tells a story, and that one's home should be a place of joy. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and our commitment to quality, ensuring that every element contributes to a cohesive and harmonious environment. Our approach combines distinctly classic elements with charming details and contemporary twists, ensuring that each project feels timeless and fresh.
A classicist at heart, Minnette's aesthetic offers a contemporary take on traditional interiors. Her interiors often layer a mix of antique and modern elements with a skillful use of color, resulting in spaces that are edited and refined, but never sacrifice practicality and livability.
Meet Minnette Jackson
Minnette’s appreciation for design started at a young age when she was influenced by the many strong women in her family. Her maternal grandmother was a portrait artist with an eye for color and a great sense of style; her paternal grandmother was an antique dealer who always kept a collection of beautiful furnishings and objects; and her mother was (and still is) a committed historic preservationist, keen to preserve the unique architectural fabric of our homes and communities. Their love for exquisite homes, art, and cherished objects shaped her vision, and an appreciation for creating beautiful spaces and nurturing a certain quality of life developed naturally.
After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Minnette moved to New York City to pursue a more traditional career path, but quickly fell in love with the architecture of the city’s grand buildings and the way interior spaces could be finished so as to make you feel as if you were miles from the busy streets outside. A few years later Minnette moved back to Nashville and began exploring her interest in interiors. When she stumbled upon a quote from esteemed designer Albert Hadley that read, “Decoration is really about creating a quality of life, and a beauty in that life that nourishes the soul,” she understood the passion she had unlocked that fed both her creative and analytical sides. She soon went on to pursue her love of interior design at O'More College of Art and Design in Franklin, TN (now the O'More College of Design at Belmont University), and eventually opened her own design studio.
After completing design projects in some of Nashville’s most beloved neighborhoods, in 2018 she moved back to Houston where she was born and raised, and established her business there. She currently resides there with her husband, two children, and dachshund Lola.
As well as working on an array of projects in Houston and Nashville, Minnette also manages projects across the country. Recent projects have taken her to Sea Island, GA, Cape Cod, MA, and New York City, NY. Her work has been featured in Southern Home, Southern Living, and House Beautiful, among others.
