SEA ISLAND
GEORGIA
For the renovation of a Spanish-style home in Sea Island, we worked with the architects of Wiregrass Studio and the team of Evans & Varnadoe Construction to eliminate a plethora of 90’s-era elements and enhance the architectural integrity of the home. Much of the renovation was focused on adjusting the flow of the rooms and adding architectural bones where they had not been or had been exaggerated. A year-round vacation home for a couple with a growing number of grandchildren, the client desired a soothing palette that echoed the colors of the sea, but still felt appropriate throughout the year. The rooms are filled with a mix of family heirlooms and comfortable upholstery - much of it in performance fabrics in heavy-use spaces - that encourage the family to gather and enjoy their time in a beautiful setting.
