O'MORE SHOWHOUSE
NASHVILLE

The 2017 O’More Designer Showhouse allowed Minnette to showcase that classic and contemporary can go hand-in-hand.  Working exclusively on the “Friends’ Entrance,” Minnette set to work to give new life to the standard and often boring “side entrance” that most families tend to use the most, proving that functional can still be beautiful.  With two doors leading to the outside - one to the side entrance and one dutch door to the back porch - using earthy materials enhanced the relationship between the inside and out.  A dusty blue grasscloth highlighted the natural elements just outside, and a skirted linen table provided both a quick drop spot for keys and sunglasses and a place to stash unsightly bags below.  An antique wool Oushak runner in dusty earthtones is forgiving when people trek inside from the outdoors, and a large carved acanthus leaf mirror reflects light and lets guests quickly check themselves as they come and go. Modern art feels both organic and fresh, the perfect way to greet your closest friends.
